RWA Digital Asset Screener

An RWA review follows the relationship between a token and the external asset or obligation it represents. Begin by identifying the claim described in the terms, then map the parties expected to maintain records, hold assets, make payments, and process redemption. Compare documents that refer to the same arrangement and observation period. This framework helps organize evidence about that connection, including the points where a record, an operator, or a legal interpretation remains unresolved. It supports research without assuming that a visible token balance proves every underlying obligation.

What to examine

Follow the underlying claim

01

Nature of the claim

Use the governing documents to describe the interest associated with the token. Identify the named asset, issuer, and applicable terms. Preserve distinctions between a claim against an entity, an interest in a pool, and a described interest in a specific asset until the structure is clear.

02

Assets and reconciliation

Compare token quantities with the relevant asset records using compatible dates, units, and scope. Investigate reported adjustments, asset substitutions, and other disclosed obligations. State what each supporting report actually examines so evidence about one issue is not used to imply that every aspect of backing was verified.

03

Payment and redemption

Trace any promised cash flow or redemption from request to receipt. Identify eligibility, responsible parties, deductions, timing conditions, and the destination asset. Keep a secondary trading route separate from direct redemption, since the review needs to establish which process is available to the participant being considered.

A practical review sequence

Build your evidence record.

  1. 01

    Describe the documented interest

Write a plain sentence identifying what the token represents, who provides that interest, and which terms define it. Attach the supporting document version. Leave missing elements visible so a broad phrase such as asset backing cannot conceal an incomplete description of the arrangement.

  2. 02

    Connect the responsible entities

Map issuance, custody, recordkeeping, valuation, and payment responsibilities. Identify the evidence connecting each named organization to its role. Follow the handoffs between parties and ask who resolves a discrepancy, updates a changed record, or explains an exception affecting the holder's expected claim.

  3. 03

    Reconcile the supporting records

Check that the token record and asset evidence concern the same pool or item and period. Explain differences before calculating any coverage measure. Record the scope of each report, the outstanding questions, and the events that would make the observation require a refresh.

  4. 04

    Walk through an exception

Choose a delayed redemption, missing record, or unavailable operator and follow the documented response. Identify the holder's expected position and the party responsible at each stage. Keep unresolved questions about recovery, priority, or enforceability attached to the particular documents that need qualified review.

Questions to resolve

Before you
go further.

What does an asset backing statement establish?

Treat it as a claim to investigate. Identify the asset, responsible entity, relevant documents, and conditions connecting the token to that asset. Review any supporting report within its stated scope, preserving questions about ownership, restrictions, liabilities, and timing that the evidence does not address.

Is trading the same as redeeming?

Document each route independently. For trading, examine the available market and transaction conditions. For redemption, identify who may submit a request, what is delivered, and which steps or restrictions apply. A review needs evidence for the particular route the contemplated participant would use.

How should older asset reports be used?

Preserve their dates and describe the period they cover. Identify later issuance, substitutions, payments, or other events requiring reconciliation. Older evidence may explain the arrangement's history, but the review should show which current question still requires a fresh record or an intervening event explanation.
