The Lab / Research topic

Liquidity

Liquidity screening considers the practical route through which an asset could be sold or exchanged. A displayed price is only one observation. Venue access, order size, custody, settlement, restrictions, and the ability to repeat a transaction also belong in the review.

Ask how an exit would work.

Write down the size and conditions of the transaction you are evaluating. Inspect the evidence appropriate to that route, keep its timestamp, and avoid assuming that one observation will hold during stress. These articles connect liquidity questions to the surrounding operational dependencies so an asset’s apparent tradability is not considered in isolation.
